EAD (Work permit ) you can only apply after labor approval.

It is valid proof for work.

All family member of applicant can get this work permit but you need to apply
separate form with fees.

Normally It is valid for 1 year only.

You need to apply for renewal of EAD before 90 days minimum.

After getting EAD you can apply for
social security number.

For Renewal of EAD, You need to send following document :
(1) I-765 form (Try to use latest updated form) Download
Immigration Forms
(2) Check in the amount of $175 made payable to “US Citizenship and Immigration Services”.
(This fees amount can be change any time so check USCIS website for more details)
(3) Both side photocopy Copy of previous EAD card
(4) Copy of receipt notice of form I-485.
(5) Copy of I-94 both side.
(6) Copy of Passport all pages
(7) Two Photos with I-485 receipt number and A# written in back (front faced)
(8) Driving license copy
